Let’s play a game of pretend. This time we shall borrow from the story of Cain and Abel. Let’s name our new characters Tiffanie and Robert. Since childhood, Tiffanie couldn’t stand Robert. He was the doted on boy. The boy that their father had prayed for. Chubby and cute, he stole the attention she craved.
Then one day, tragedy occurred. While watching a movie in the basement about a drug addicted husband/father that was destroying his family, Robert’s father turned to his mother and asked, “Is that what I’m doing?” His mother coldy replied, “Yes.” His father then said he was going out for sleeping pills. In the middle of the night, Robert heard his mother also leave the house. No one knows for sure what happened that night, but one of them would never come back.
After the death of Robert’s father, Tiffanie became abusive to him. Slamming his leg into the car door as he struggled to get into the back seat. Telling the neighbor to deny him entry as she swam joyfully with the neighbor in his pool. As she grew stronger, she began throwing punches to teach him his lessons. With puberty, she eventually pulled him into a situation of sexual misconduct.
With all of the abuse, Robert remained his loving self. A shadow self did form throughout the years and would reemerge as an adult, but for the most part he relied on his connection with spirit to get him through. And eventually, that spirit grew more and more personal, even speaking to him one day. Robert began to call him, Lawrence.
As an adult, Robert grew in independence and started to make a life for himself. A life away from his sister and family. When he did come home, everyone wanted to see him and talk to him. When he wasn’t home, everyone asked Tiffanie how he was doing. This annoyed her. Now working for the government in security, she decided to hack him. Knowing her family also had dealings within the drug world, she manipulated those connections as well. Saying it was all out of love and wanting to make sure he was safe. Family agreed.
This is when Robert’s life began falling apart. And to make matters worse, his grandmother was almost scammed out of money. Money that would have gone to NJ, a place where Tiffanie has connections since she went to school in NJ. But blame would go to Robert. He lost favor with family. Then came the reports from the local network that took the time to go into Robert’s apartment. Apparently, Robert wasn’t so good after all. So they decided to leak that to Robert’s job. To help Robert.
Robert, always being a bit psychic in nature, began to pick up on what was going on around him. Warning signs were going off as his life slowly crumble. His shaddow reemerged as a form of protection. “Someone see me! Someone help me! Someone love me!” For Tiffanie, this was even better than she had planned. Allow him to make a fool out of himself. To truly show he is not the golden child.
And then came the day that she was allowed to come in as the hero. To get him out of the hospital. This was a beautiful day. A day when she could show everyone how amazing she was.
But eventually, Robert caught on. He realized that he had been played by his original bully, his sister. His death of spirit was caused by his sister. Just like the death of his father was caused by his mother. It was fate. Karma. And with this full moon, that cycle of karma must come to a close.
